Blues Reviews and comments Dear Matt and Karen we came to our first Bentworth Festival at the weekend
and have to say that you are doing everything absolutely right! From your
website which does all the right things, through to the hard work put into the
organisation, the bands you booked, the relationship you obviously have with the
village, the staff you employed or got to volunteer, the smashing real ales,
your deep enthusiasm and involvement ( whilst still remaining in control - we
noticed!- Karen we know you were the "chief engineer" whilst Matt was "out and
about" that's what good teamwork is all about - everyone to their own

Just a quick note to say thanks for the gig - really enjoyed it and a nice crowd. In case you fancy something different next year - but with some of your regulars - Tommy Allen and Chris Lomas from the Tommy Allen Band and Abby and I from the Tribe also do a sit down multi-vocal blues thing called Mumbo-Jumbo which is going down very well - www.mumbo-jumbo.biz - very jolly!! the festival. We are seasoned 'festival goer's'and we both feel that this is

Hello Matt
I've just got back home from the blues festival this weekend and my, what a weekend! You and your staff have done your customers proud. I have to say, it's the best money I've spent on a weekend for many months, if not years, that's for sure. I have to congratulate you for the following reasons: 1) For the organisation of the event..... It must take hours and hours getting things sorted out and everything ran wonderfully smoothly. It was a thoroughly enjoyable weekend - one that I shall be talking about for months to come. 2) The quality of the bands was outstanding. My friend and I came for one main reason and that is because you had the Rik Martin Band on the programme! We are devout followers of Rik and his crew and I have to say, they were tremendous. Even more so than usual. They were the draw for us but there were many more performers who we can now say that we love to see, thanks to you. Amazing quality! 3) Your outstanding staff. They all worked incredibly hard all over the weekend and I was impressed with their politeness and professionalism. You are clearly employing the right people! Please thank them all on my behalf for helping to make my weekend (and the weekend of many others!) so pleasant! Thanks & praise where thanks & praise are due. It was a fabulous weekend and I'd appreciate it if you would pass my thanks on to all those who were involved in making my weekend such an enjoyable one. Thank you! Many thanks for the best Blue's Weekend ever. Amazing - you even managed to
organise the weather !
The clear highlight for me was Danny Kyle and Shaw. What a magical sound.
Don't know if you remember my suggestion of Sunday brunches with the likes
of Danny Kyle and also that classical guitar chappie whose name I always
forget.
Everyone I spoke with really enjoyed themselves, and certainly Myra and Sue
who had not been to a 'weekend' before were really impressed and had a
thoroughly good time.
Well done to both of you - I know how much sheer hard work and organisation
goes into these events - well done ! Looking forward to the next one
already .........
