HEYDAYS PRE SCHOOL

Heydays Pre School is a long established setting having been running now for more than thirty years. We are Ofsted registered, receive Government Funding and are Charity Commission registered.

Based within the grounds of the school Heydays is staffed by a friendly, experienced team of qualified staff and we welcome children from the age of two years six months.

Although maintaining our separate identity we have strong links and work closely with the school which obviously is of huge benefit to the children to the children on transition into school reception classes.

For children from two and a half to three years, we give regard to the “Birth to Three Matters Framework” which sets out four key entitlements for young children.

Between the ages of three and five years we provide a curriculum for the foundation stage of education which divides children’s learning and development into six areas:

Personal, social and emotional development;

Communication, language and literacy development;

Mathematical development;

Knowledge and understanding of the world;

Physical development;

Creative development.

At Heydays we use the stepping stones leading to the early learning goals to plan and provide a range of enjoyable and fun play activities so that the children can learn and develop through doing, talking and exploring within a play based environment.

We warmly welcome prospective parents to visit us. Please either pop in for a chat and a look around or give us a ring for further information. At present our opening hours are:

Monday 9.00 am - 3.00pm

Tuesday 9.00am - 12.00pm

(Possible third afternoon session if sufficient demand for this)

Wednesday 9.00am – 3.00pm

Thursday 9.00am – 12.00pm

Friday 9.00am - 12.00pm

We are currently taking bookings for Monday afternoon sessions 12.00pm – 3.00pm as these are all we have left available. For this reason we are now also taking bookings from parents wishing their child to start with us from September 2007.
