NEW LIVE ALBUM !!! 

At long last The Jon Walsh Blues Band are recording a new live album as a follow on from the success of their first CD – “Can You Feel It?” That was almost three years ago!!! This time the event will take place at the prestigious Central Studio Theatre in Basingstoke (in Queen Mary College campus) on Saturday 24th May and instead of bringing the recording crew out on location to one of our gigs we are going to the studio. So this next album will be even better than the last!

We have new songs that we have been working on for some time now and even a new bass player – Peter Shead – who has introduced a more jazzy/swing approach and style to JWBB’s repertoire. But we still pump out those old grinding blues classics that we have become known for.

We want as many of our loyal followers (and new ones too!) to take part in this event with us so please consider this as an invitation to the best gig in town! .... And if you cheer loud enough you'll be on the album too !

Ticket prices are to be set by Central Studio but we have asked that the cost be no more than £10. But in addition to that we will be offering the final cut version of our new album at half price of £5 to members of the audience as a way of saying thank you for supporting us. Just keep your ticket stub and show it when you buy our new CD. It’s going to be a doosie! Tickets will be limited owing to the capacity of the venue so don’t leave it too late!

The venue? ….Well what can we say. It’s a GREAT professional venue!  I’ve been to see high class acts there myself. There’s a bar in the foyer, plenty of car parking, the seats are comfortable but, most important of all, the atmosphere in the theatre is fantastic! ….. and it sure as hell will be when we open up in there!

So put this date in your diaries …. We really would like to see as many familiar faces as possible ….. And if we get a response anything like we did at the recent Swanage Blues Festival …. Somebody better be holding the roof on !!!
