What the attendees say
"Hi
Sam
Thank you, thank you, thank you!! I really enjoyed your workshop again and
I thought of you and everything you've told me as I went out to play my
FIRST dep gig last night (yes I was VERY excited to get a call). But as I
drove out to the gig I considered that it's not whether they call me once
that counts - it's whether they ever call me again. I asked myself
"why do people ring Sam time and time again?" - because he works
WITH the band, he plays for the SONG, MEANS what he plays, ENJOYS what he
does, is FUN to watch and never comes in until he's READY.
Thanks Sam - they tell me I played "a blinder" - told them it
was the Sam Kelly approach!... - YOU ROCK! YOU SWING - YOU CAN DO
ANYTHING!!
Hurray for Sam!
Love Helen :O)x
PS - Owen's right - you can hear the difference at the jam's since
Bentworth! Dave really enjoyed it too."

Hi Sam -
great workshop last Sunday! - Well worth the trip - I've certainly seen
and heard the results this week at the jams - you would have been proud of
all us. Been a real fertile time for drummers recently - we've all come
along such a long way - and a lot of that is a result of your work,
dedication, enthusiasm and encouragement which helps the rest of us keep
on going and aspiring to play better! Respect to the man (Sam) who can
take people who have never played before and got them drumming in 10
minutes. Keep on Swingin mate, we love your work. Catch up soon, Owen

Hi Sam
I just wanted to drop you a line to say a huge thanks for your drum
workshop last Sunday. I was there with Simon, my 8 year old son, who
really enjoyed the experience - afterwards he said "I think Sam is a
really
nice man" which in Simons' language says much more than just that.
What is
really important however is that you made Simon feel that he was able to
participate, despite his years and limited ability. That experience,
I am
sure, will have a long lasting and positive effect on him as he develops
his musical career and on his behalf I would like to say a big "thank
you".
Even though I am a guitarist (of sorts!), I too enjoyed the session with
many of the views you expressed resonating with my own thoughts, so thanks
from me too. I believe you stayed on for the jam session which I was
not
able to attend but I look forward to meeting you again, and may be jamming
with you, at some point in the future.
Thanks again! Andy Daniels
